Management of specimen and mature trees

Our aim is keep trees standing and contributing to the landscape as long as possible, through considered and careful pruning, crown lifting, pollarding and reduction. When the need for more drastic measures arises, we have plenty of experience of creating monoliths and usable timber, that can be left with you, create new features in your landscape or taken elsewhere for local projects.

Felling work

We are happy to fell any tree which poses a risk to people or property or to discuss alternative options with you. When felling our aim will be to create as much useable timber as possible, for a vast range of projects.

Woodland management

Whether for timber production, wildlife or amenity, we can offer a range of woodland management services and would be happy to contribute to the successful development of either new or established woodland. We have experience of working in more sensitive landscapes and in looking after trees and timber for wildlife.

Timber processing and sales

Understanding the use of timber and the needs of creative projects gives us a unique insight when working on trees and woodland. Aiming to reveal the incredible value, beauty and usefulness of timber, we can process timber to suit your project or that of a number of craftspeople we work with, including furniture makers, charcoal burners and artists. We can source and supply green and finished timber including oak beams and sawn timber.

Children's play features

We have a wide range of experience in designing and installing play features for a wide range of clients including private gardens, schools, nursery's and local authorities. For Cheshire East Council we sourced local timber and worked with their Landscape Architect to create and install an 'Enchanted Forest' play feature in a toddler play area. This added structure and interest to the play area, creating a sense of place and encouraging social and imaginative play.

Timber landscape and sculptural features

Using timber felled on site, or from as local a source as possible, we will design and install landscape and sculptural pieces into your landscape, to define and create spaces or focal points, as points of reference or in celebration of events or historical inspiration. We have worked with a number of North West Artists to produce pieces and were invited to produce a contemporary timber sculpture for the RHS Tatton Show in 2010 as part of their 'Art In The Garden' feature, sponsored by Cheshire East Council and with timber from Tatton Park.

Internal timber features

Always looking to promote the versatility of timber, we have worked with a number of clients to create unique timber features inside a range of properties. The restaurant chain Nando's approached us with an exciting and challenging project for a new premises, creating solid timber sculptures inside the restaurant.

Timber buildings

Designed to suit your needs and sit beautifully within the landscape, we have and can provide you with log stores, shelters, garden rooms, porches and pergolas, with green or finished timbers and as complex or as simple as the setting describes.

Seating and furniture

We love exploring both traditional methods and design and contemporary and exciting new ways to create outdoor seating and furniture with beautiful timber. We are happy to provide you with a range of ideas or to create pieces to your design.

Fencing

We will design and install traditional or bespoke fencing and gates, for large or small projects where a quality result is required.
